Lightweight Trench – ootd

I’m all for timeless pieces; a nude, double breasted trench, denim shirts, Hunter Boots, beautifully structured handbags and stylish sunglasses. And this is one of my favourite ways to put the whole look together! This lightweight apricot trench will be such a staple for Spring, but I couldn’t wait to wear it now! I usually wear an 8/small, but decided go get this one in a Medium, since I knew that I would be wearing it over something. I actually wish I had gone for the Large, just to give my arms more space when I wear it with something like my denim shirt. But nonetheless, I love it! I love how many different style options this lightweight trench offers, and although it’s not as thick or wintery as a classic trench, it’s still a great piece that offers the same, endless styling options. Burberry Bucket Bag – The New “It Bag”

Another bag to covert, and this time its Burberry’s latest “it bag”- The Bucket Bag! Earlier this month, twelve styles of the Burberry Bucket Bags were pre-launched in twelve Burberry flagship stores in London, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Osaka. The Bucket Bag was introduced during the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2015 womenswear show; inspired by the bohemian spirit of the collection, and crafted in soft English suede, graphic animal print shearling and tiered fringing. Shades of Grey #ootd

The winter chill is upon us, and all I want is to stay warm and fluffy all day long! Lately I’ve been living in my Riveria Edge to Edge longer length grey cardi from Old Khaki. It’s the softest, most snuggle worthy item of clothing I own and it goes with pretty much everything. Speaking of snuggle worthy, I’m also mildly obsessed with these cable knit fingerless gloves and my pom pom beanie (and I’ve still got my eye on this one). NY Bagels For Brunch

When you can’t be in New York, bring New York to you! I’ve been craving bagels for ages! I think it started somewhere between Instagram feeds and Hart of Dixie re-runs! I found the most amazing, authentic East Coast Bagel recipe and I’m happy to report that my bagel craving has finally been satisfied! These buggers bagels take a long time to prepare, but trust me when I say they are totally worth every mouth watering bite! Serve them warm; with cream cream cheese, home made marmalade and steaming hot tea. Check out the recipe and instructions below, and my slightly adapted ingredients list that I’ve converted to metric for us local gals. Oven Temperature: 230ºC You will need: To make the Biga 550 grams bread flour (keep more aside and add if you notice that the mixture is too runny) 1/4 teaspoon instant packet yeast 350ml warm water 2 teaspoons honey Final dough 100 grams bread flour 2 Tablespoons warm water 2 1/4 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon honey Topping sesame seeds Try it out and let me know how yours came out xo D
