A little while ago I got this, godsend product to review for StyleScoop. An at home treatment that removed hair dye? Brilliant!
Unfortunately as I had just emptied out my piggy bank to pay for my hair colour and cut, I was a bit nervous to try this product myself. So, when my sister in law told me about wanting to get the black colour out of her hair, I thought she’d make the perfect little guinea pig for a feature review of Scott Cornwall Colour B4.
This product has been designed to safely resolve hair colour mistakes and get rid of artificial hair pigment (that’s hair dye in case you need me to spell it out). The benefit is that it can all be done in the comfort of your home, no hairdresser necessary! It works by enabling the artificial hair molecules to be washed out. So no more having to live with a hair colour mistake.
Louise (the sister in law) is a hairdresser herself and like most girls in the biz, and well just girls in general, she’s been dying her hair for ages, so she’s got plenty colour buildup on her hair. The colour she had on B4 was black, and she’s wanting to change her hair colour to brown. Now, if you’ve ever had your hair dyed black, and I can certainly relate, it’s very difficult to get that colour to lift. It’s the darkest most dreadful stain to remove – despite looking seductively sexy nonetheless!
I gave Louise a box of Scott Cornwall Colour B4 in the EXTRA version, (you also get Regular) and this is what she had to say:
“I found this product very easy to apply and the instructions were easy to follow. When I applied the product it was easy to comb through the hair. After leaving it on for 20 minutes and rinsing it out I found my hair to be quite knotty and slightly dryer than before, so make sure you use a good conditioner or rescue treatment after the application! The end result, it did lighten my hair, but it seemed a little uneven, probably because I have so much colour buildup on my hair. However, the section by the roots was far more even than the rest.
I was happy with how much it had lifted the colour buildup and would definitely recommend this product”
So, all in all a winner product! If you’ve got a colour mistake, then try this to correct it.
