Christmas 2022 Gift Guide – Cozy Gifts (Mostly) Under R1000

Welcome to Part 2 of my 2022 Christmas Gift Guide, featuring cozy gifts that come in under the R1000 mark. If you’re looking for more gift ideas, you can find Part 1, Gifts under R500 over here.

Cozy gifts are not just reserved for cuddling up on a cold winter’s day, so if you’re asking “can I really give a cozy gift in the middle of summer?” The answer is yes! Who doesn’t want to feel cozy all year round?

So without further ado, below are four of my top cozy picks for the perfect Christmas gift…

Get cozy, under the covers!

If you’re a fan of Chesapeake Shores, you have no doubt looked at the O’Brien sisters and their cozy fireside blankets and swooned. A soft, cozy blanket that doubles as a wrap for those crisp summer evenings by the fire should be on everyone’s Christmas list. And if it isn’t, don’t worry, I can almost guarantee they will love it.

The Luna Knitted Throw from Superbalist is amazing and I can vouch for it myself! I bought myself one of these 100% cotton throws (although I’d call it a blanket) a while ago and have used it summer, winter, autumn and spring! I even take it with me on our road trips. It’s amazing! Trust me!

It comes in at R899, but it’s often listed on their sale, so you might be lucky enough to get one for yourself too!

Wrap into something cozy!

I’m a huge fan of linen and I think it’s totally fair to say that I’m obsessed with this natural fibre fabric. I had my eye on this beautiful Stone Washed Linen Bathrobe from H&M Home for some time. When I finally took the plunge, I can tell you that I am indeed obsessed, although, I did have trouble deciding on the powder beige and light beige colours. But anyway, I practically live in mine all spring and summer long as it gives me a cozy feel after my evening bath, even in the heat of summer. I also take it along with me on holiday, so I am never without it.

That’s why I thought it would make a perfect gift if you’re looking for something cozy and classy without breaking the bank. Locally at H&M this piece comes in at under R1000 which is such a great deal when you compare it with other pure linen gowns.

Sip a little cozy!

Tea lovers all over will appreciate the art of drinking tea of out this beautiful Beka Jito Tetsubin Cast Iron Tea Pot from @home. It’s uniquely stylish with a gorgeous white washed look that will stand out on any kitchen counter. The price also comes in at exactly under R1000 at R999.00 and is well worth the money.

It has a capacity of 800ml, so you can enjoy sipping on tea with your friends, or enjoy multiple cups alone while binge watching The Crown, and making sure that your tea temp stays just right.

Slip into something cozy

I know, I know, I said this gift guide would be under R1000, but I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist adding these exquisite Felti 100% Wool Hand Made Home Shoes which go R350 over the budget, so if you’re flexible on the “budget”, then maybe you’d consider these gems and great gifts!

They are still on my radar, and again I’m contemplating the colour because I cant decide between the super luxe looking white pair (as featured in my image collage), the grey ones which I adore, or if I should just be practical with the brown/black version that won’t show my Rottweiler hair haha!

Either way you go, nothing beats the comfort of 100% natural wool and the durability and comfort of a calfskin sole stitched in the shoe. Did I mention Felti is a South African company so perhaps going over the R1000 mark to support local can be forgiven wink wink.
