After much anticipation – seriously I have never been more excited about another magazine aside from our GLOSSY of course – the November issue of ELLE magazine is finally out and features the gorgeous, Vanessa Haywood on the cover – A cover that you helped pick, might I add?
After voting for their top pick out of three possible covers, StyleScoop readers definitely picked a winner with 33 out of 57 total votes. Diana Boshoff also won a one year’s subscription to ELLE plus a 75ml Bottle of Estee Lauder Pleasures from StyleScoop and ELLE Magazine, just for voting.

As most of you know I was lucky enough to attend the behind the scenes fashion shoot and while I was there I managed a quick chat with Elle Fashion Director Chris Viljoen on the wardrobe for the shoot. With this being the “Body Issue” the whole 80’s inspired wardrobe (body con dresses, shoulder pads and super, sky high platforms) fitted in perfectly.
They also fitted Vanessa’s amazing body. “Vanessa has a strong body”says Chris, and what better way to show her body than in the season’s must have body-con dresses?
Some of the words Chris used to describe the wardrobe was “Minimalistic”, “best cut” and “understated” and with local names such as Clive Rundle, Tiaan Nagel, Suzaan Heyns and Christopher Strong, they all looked amazing, and you can see some of these designs in the magazine.
