Here’s a quick beauty byte on some of the amazing new makeup goodies I’ve been playing with recently. Tried, Tested and LOVED (as always)!

Woolworths Makeup

Wink, Wink, Blush, Blush! Woolies have launched an exciting new range of makeup that’s bang on trend and budget friendly! Some of the goodies I got to try: WINK Eyeshadow trio (R49.95) and BLUSH lip & cheek tint (R49.95).

The eyeshadow I got to play with, Khol Maybe is absolutely stunning. I’m in love with the burgundy shade on the right and the khaki green on the left is also gorgeous. A great combo for winter!

These WINK shadows are highly pigmented and great for adding metallic colour to your lids. In general I don’t like using the applicators that come with compacts, and prefer to use my MAC 217 blending brush to create a blended shade and my MAC 239 brush to pack on the colour.  You can even amp up the intensity of these shadows by dipping your 239 brush in a drop of water before packing on the colour. This will make your eyes pop!

The BLUSH lip and cheek tint is a lovely cream blush that diffuses effortlessly on the cheeks and adds a perfect pop of colour to your lips. I’m a huge sucker for cream blushes because of how natural they look. These come in two shades, and the one featured is Coral! Pretty, pretty!

NYX: The Curve

If you’ve ever battled when it comes to creating fine liquid lines, then you’ll absolutely love NYX’s The Curve Felt Tip Eyeliner.

It’s been ergonomically designed to make it easier for you to apply liquid lines. I find that I’m okay with applying liner to my right eye lid, but when it comes to the left, I tend to bash the back of my liner pencil into the mirror (because I get up close and personal). Thanks to the design of NYX The Curve (R264.99), I’m able to create super fine, precise lines on both eyes. So much easier to hold and control, than a traditional pencil shaped liner.

Other than that, it’s a great felt-tip liner that lasts all day, so perfect for creating those defined cat eyes. Meeaawww.

NYX is available exclusively at Clicks.

Stila Colour Balm Lip Stick

I’ve been hooked on this lippie since I received a sample and it now lives permanently in my handbag!

STILA Colour Balm Lipstick is available in 10 beautiful shades, but my favourite, and the one I got to choose has got to be Gabrielle – a lovely nude pink. It looks so natural on my lips I could eat it all up!

Besides loading my lips with colour, it has moisturizing benefits and a naturally cooling peppermint oil that gives your lips that fresh, ahhhh feeling. The top of the cap also features a handy mini mirror, great for sneaky little touchups without running to the little girls room.

You can find STILA Colour Balm Lipstick at selected Woolies and Truworths stores nationwide. The price for each one is R210.

RIMMEL Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

New to RIMMEL’s already amazing range of mascara’s, LASH Accelerator Endless gives your lashes a natural boost of length minus the clump! It stretches your lashes and coats them with a glossy lick of mascara.

The flexi brush ensures all your lashes are stretched as far as they possibly can, while the added keratin inside the formula helps your lashes to grow. I love it it!

This mascara launches officially on the 23rd May so keep an eye out! Price wise, you’re looking at R99.95! A great buy!
