As if you didn’t know it already, I’m a huge fan of Chanel Makeup!
On the 21st June 2013, their latest, (limited edition) makeup collection L’ÉTÉ PAPILLON DE CHANEL will hit Chanel counters nationwide!
The colourful collection has been inspired by butterfly wings. Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, Peter Phillips used the most vibrant hues to compose a poetic beauty look that combines energy, playfulness and the carefree feel of summer!
Such beautiful colours that will brighten up any mood, but keeping it classy and fabulous, in true Chanel spirit!
To me, Chanel Makeup is the crème de la crème of cosmetics! I’ve never once been disappointed by any of their makeup. Their eye shadow palettes, although a little pricey, are the best quality! They are all highly pigmented with true colour. But, besides all that, there is zero fall out – at all! Which means you use every last speckle of eye shadow on your eye lids, and not let it go to waste by falling out.
Les 4 Ombres in “Seduction” has the prettiest shades, that will look good on just about any eye colour! I absolutely love the purpley-pink (top left).
This palette is so versatile, and just by wetting your brush before hand, you can achieve an even more intense colour burst!
Having slightly oily eyelids, my eye shadow tends to crease quite quickly. The Chanel shadows have the best staying power for my lids!
Chanel’s summer 2013 collection has these amazeballs Stylo EyeShadows, which are great for traveling or to keep in your handbag for quick touch ups at work. Absolutely obsessed with the black “Black Stream” and the blue, “Jade Shore” is to die for!
The consistency of these eye shadows is like cream shadow in a roll up stick applicator. They offer a beautiful, shimmery eye shadow with speckles of sparkle that look beautiful!
You can apply them on their own and blend out with your finger or using your brush! I like to apply the Stylo Eyeshadow directly onto my eye lid and then blend out the edges using a MAC 217 Blending Brush.
The colour payoff is superb, and best of all – no creasing! At all!
The Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in 475 “Idylle” is a great, soft coral that just gives your lips the most incredible shine! You don’t even need to apply gloss!
The colour offers this barely there coral in the softest buttery texture.
For the gloss lovers, Levres Scintillantes in “Envolee” is a great colour! It’s also a soft coral, and as with all Chanel lip glosses, it goes on beautifully without leaving your lips tacky or dried up.
The nail polish, OMG the nail polish! Le Vernis in “Azure” is such an amazing colour! I can’t tell if it’s blue or green!
Although it is technically a blue, the colour changes depending on the light!
When I first saw this colour, I instantly thought back to Mood Rings (remember those?)!
And just when you thought Chanel was too “posh”, their Summer Collection whacks you with a wand of fun! How pretty is this Inimitable Multi Dimensional Mascara in “Blue Note“?
I love applying this over a volumizing black mascara, (like Chanel’s new Le Volume De Chanel mascara) to add texture and dimension to my lashes!
