Gucci Twilly

I friggin love it! Obsessed actually! It is a beautiful, skinny silk teal scarf with the most vibrant floral print on both sides and features the Gucci signature Dragon Fly – which is so cute. The print finishes off with golden-brown edges that really makes the teal and vibrant colours pop!

It’s such a beautiful and versatile piece, that I know I’m probably going to wear to death! Heck, even when I’m in my seventies, I’ll be the chic older lady with a silk Gucci scarf wrapped in her hair – very Parisian! For now, I love wearing my Twilly around my neck in Western Cowgirl style, but my favourite has got to be wrapping it around my wrist, which adds a really striking detail of arm candy.

I thought after I got a Twilly, my craving for a skinny silk scarf would be satisfied, but if I’m honest, I think it’s just been fuelled! I have my eye on this one and this one from Hermes, but those will have to wait since we don’t have Hermes here in South Africa! Perhaps it’s not such a bad thing – for my bank balance at least!

The style possibilities for this piece are endless. Most girls purchase Twilly’s to wrap around their handbag handles, but I can’t say I’m too fond of that look. I sometimes do like a pretty bow on a handbag though, so I might try that some day. I can also use this skinny neck scarf as a head tie and even tie it to the top of trilby hat for a bit of something extra.

Then there’s a few ways to wear it around your neck… the western style, the more androgynous tie style and for when I want to look fancy, a pretty bow.

What do you gals think?
