Great news girls, ghd will be hosting ghd revelations, a major fashion event crafted in collaboration with MAC, theatre director Craig Leo, David Tlale and other leading fashion designers and it takes place on September 3rd 2009 in the Mother City, Cape Town.
Guests will explore living fashion scenes and installations throughout the interior and grounds of a historic Cape building. Each scene interconnects to tell a story of passion, unravelled mystery and revelations. Visitors will find themselves drawn into a performance that brings together South African creatives from various disciplines, culminating in a behind the scenes view of the artistry involved in creating the highly stylized looks.
The performance is the first of its kind for ghd, a brand renowned for its spectacular collaborations with creative talents across the globe including designer shows at New York, London and Australian fashion weeks.
“ghd revelations will celebrate the craft of South Africa’s leading hair stylists alongside avant-garde local fashion in a unique fashion performance space. This event is the perfect way for ghd to illustrate our vision and creative potential in South Africa,” said Rene Price, managing director of ghd South Africa.
A limited number of free public invites to the event will be made available at www.ghdstylediary.co.za however as demand is expected to be high, final guests will be selected at random from applicants on the site. The microsite will also contain glimpses and hints of what to expect on the night.
