Just Keep On Faking It!

Fakes are so last season, especially those fake Louis’ and Loubies! But, there is one time when faking it is better than the real thing, and that’s when it comes to faking a tan. Especially on your face!

In case you weren’t one of the lucky ones to hit the beach this December holiday, and are feeling a little pale next to your tanned colleagues, don’t stress! We’ve reviewed three new Tinted Moisturisers to bring you good skincare, combined with a glowing complexion.

Tinted moisturizers also offer a great way for you to ease you back into wearing makeup if you’ve been keeping it “el natural” over the holidays.

Caribbeantan Sun Protection Tinted Facial Moisturizer
I haven’t used Carribbeantan for ages! In fact the last time I used it was just before summer when you had to bear your Lilly white legs in your new Summer school uniform. I was pleasantly surprised at their new range of products, one of them being the Sun Protection Tinted Facial Moisturizer, packed with an SPF of 20.

This is a great product to wear every day and even if you want some coverage for the beach. It goes on with a non greasy application and I absolutely LOVE the smell. It reminds me of Beechies, I could smell it all day! I also love the pump-action application!

Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturizer
I’ve always loved Clarins products. They feel so great on the skin and the same goes for their (almost) new Hydra Quench Tinted Moisturizer. It comes in four shades and blends beautifully into the skin for an almost transparent glow. It’s loaded with active ingredients to moisturize the skin and mineral pigments for perfect colour. It’s also got correcting pigments that help to minimize fine lines and fight off those signs of fatigue.

The only thing I don’t love about it is the low SPF factor. Although it has an SPF of 6, I would have liked it to be a bit higher because I always end up layering it over sun protection cream. With the other two, you don’t really need additional SPF.

Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Tinted Moisturizer
Another fab product from Elizabeth Arden. Out of the three products mentioned, this one goes on the most like foundation. So, if you’re after more coverage, then this is the one for you. If you’re allergic to fragrance, then this is also a good option as it’s 100% fragrance free. It goes on easily and melts perfectly into the skin for a sheer, healthy glow.
