Lancome La Vie est Belle L’eau Fragrance

So gals, as promised, here’s a Fragrance Friday just for you (seeing as we did one for the guys already).

Lancome La Vie est Belle L’eau EDT launched in SA recently as a lighter version of the original, La Vie est Belle.

L’eau EDT is a grown up (yet not old granny) floral scent that is luminous and happy.

The bottle is simple and pretty; in a clear, unbranded glass with a silver mesh ribbon tied to the bottle neck.

The juice, simple and pleasant. It’s joyful, inspiring, summery and ladylike.

The scent is polished and pure and smells like a gorgeous spring garden with fresh magnolia blooms. It’s floral but without the sickening candy-sweet scent that is often associated with floral fragrances.

La Vie est Belle L’eau opens with top notes of Almond and Magnolia Essence. Magnolia being one of the first flowers to bloom in the Spring, and also the symbol of new beginnings.

Other notes that make up this light gourmand fragrance include Iris Pallida, White Flowers Absolute and Patchouli Essence.

Floral scents are not my fave, but I don’t mind wearing this one.

It’s pleasant and pretty, and if you do lean toward more floral scents, definitely give this one a sniff next time you’re browsing for a new fragrance.
