No makeup bag would be complete without a good quality powder blush. This week I’m reviewing the M.A.C 129 Powder/ Blush Brush, a multi purpose blush that can be used to apply loose or pressed powder, bronzer (although I have another favourite for that – see my review next week) and of course, blush.
The brush consists of soft bristles that do not scratch or irritate your skin. Don’t laugh, but many el’cheapo brushes do more harm than good, and it is important to remember that the skin on your face should be treated like a priceless porcelain doll. After all when your skin is damaged, there is virtually no cure – even surgery will not make your skin supple and soft (think Joan Rivers!).
What I love about the M.A.C 129 Powder/ Blush Brush is how soft and fluffy it is. This helps blend product really well. I mainly use it to apply blush to my face, and the shape of the brush allows me to apply a subtle shade to my cheekbones, while the tip is great for adding just that pop of colour (great for photographs).
Another definite makeup kit essential.
