If you love using cream based eye shadows, then this is the brush for you! With a slightly round tip, this brush is also ideal if you want to line your upper lids with a cream based eye shadow, instead of using a pencil or powder liner. Just use the side angle, and it glides on perfectly.
You can also use it to blend out the colour so that it looks natural and flawless.
Another product I love using this brush for, is when I apply M.A.C Cream Colour Base to my lids.

This brush is used to apply eye shadow with controlled and precise application. The soft bristles have tapered fibers, which allow you to create a perfectly blended “dome” shape on your lids.

I use this brush as part of my three-brush daily eyeshadow application:

  • I start with the MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush, which is ideal for applying the darkest eye shadow shade to my lids. I love using this brush because it allows me to apply all the colour without a single bit of residue falling on my face.
  • My next step is to apply the lighter shade and blend it in using the 217 Blending Brush. * you can also use the 224 brush for a more domed effect.
  • I like to add sparkle to the crease of my lids, and I use this, the MAC 224 Tapered Blending Brush, which allows me to add a subtle blend of sparkle and make it look natural and gorgeous, without interfering with the other applications done to my lids.

The 224 Brush can be used instead of the 217 brush to apply colour your crease, as they are very similar, however if you’re going for a domed effect on your lids, then I recommend the 224 brush as it has a slightly more tapered edge than the 217 brush.
