MYTH: If you have dark skin you don’t really need sunscreen

PONDS FACT: Although dark skin does have a natural sun protection factor of around 13, there is still a need for sunscreen. Sun exposure can lead to premature aging, dark spots and skin cancer. In African women, exposure to the sun often results in dark skin patches.

So what do you do to keep your skin glowing, flawless and radiant? Well Ponds suggest that you never leave home without your sunscreen – a great tip and one that every girl should follow. Unprotected exposure leads to the increased production and distribution of melanin pigments.

Ponds have introduced a rock star product, part of their Flawless Radiance range (by the way Louise loved it so much, she’s gone and bought more and it’s now part of her daily skincare regime).

Ponds Flawless Radiance Blemish Prevention UV Cream contains a built in SPF of 15, so you can enjoy a little more time out doors this summer.

If you’ve tried this product or any others from the Flawless Radiance range, comment below and let us know what you think.
