Purr, Katy Perry’s debut fragrance hits SA Shores

Inspired by Katy Perry’s love for all things feline, her debut fragrance “Purr” hits South African shores on the 1st October 2011.

The fragrance comes packed in a beautiful purple glass kitty with a heart shaped name collar. This kitty is named “Purr”, while Katy’s own cat is named Kitty Purry. It’s a rich and playful scent that was developed with Firmenich fragrances and Gigantic Parfums and Katy was heavily involved in every step of the development.

“There is a wonderful world of fragrances out there, but like with my music, I believe there is room for me and my own unique twist on it” says Perry.

The scent is fruity and feminine and you can smell the fresh citrus scents the moment you spray it on. It features top notes of peach nectar, forbidden apple and green bamboo, followed by a delicate heart of jasmine blossom, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose. The base notes of  Purr include vanilla orchid, white amber, sandalwood and musk.

I love fragrances with a musky scent to them, it just gives the perfume a really sexy scent.
