Combining the intense colour of lipstick with a smooth, lacquer-like shine.
That’s what RIMMEL‘s new APOCALIPS lip lacquer is all about. They’ve created a luscious liquid product (like gloss) and added colour pigments (like lipstick) to create a rich lip colour intensity.
The Apocalips range will launch in South Africa in April 2013 with a selection of 10, gorgeous shades…

I got to sample this product range first hand to bring you another tried, tested and loved beauty review!
I’m definitely more of a gloss girl than a lipstick girl, and this product is perfect for me! It glides on really smooth and gives your lips a wonderful, moisturized feeling. Plus, the added pigment gives you rich and indulgent colour!
Although Apocolips claims to stay on all day, I have yet to find any product that actually does without touch ups. However, the colour intensity of Apocalips definitely lasts a good hour or two.
The thing I love most about this range is that although it combines lipstick and gloss, it doesn’t come with the stickiness and gooeyness of gloss or the dryness that usually comes with a long wearing lipstick.
The applicator is another reason to love this lip lacquer.
It’s got a fabulous foam tip with “an inbuilt micro-reservoir”. Which means that one tip has a slanted edge with a tiny reservoir that collects the product, allowing you to apply it without getting too much product on your lips!
The Rimmel Apocalips range hits stores in April 2013, and will be available at slected Foschini, Edgars, Clicks, Dis-Chem, The Hub, Pick ‘n Pay and pharmacies nationwide.
