Live in linen
I live in linen and have such a love affair with this beautiful, natural fabric that I wanted to chat about what makes linen so special. We’ll talk about everything, including creases and care, why the price tag, and I’ll also share some of my favourite linen pieces to have and to own.
View PostGift Guide: Lovely Linen Luxuries
I am a wee bit obsessed with linen fabric at the moment. And guess what? I am not alone! It’s no wonder everyone loves linen, with it being such a hardy, beautiful and elegant fabric that actually looks better with age. It wears so well, it washes so well and best of all, it’s long lasting.
Giving the gift of linen this festive season is a perfect choice if you’re looking for a special gift, particularly for people who love quality, and who you may think have everything they need.
IMO, you can never have too much linen! And I don’t mean bed sheets (which half the time are anything but actual linen fabric, although those do exist, albeit at a price – but that’s another subject all together).
View PostChristmas Gift Guide 2018 – Gifts Under R200
Okay, so I know it seems like R200 doesn’t go very far these days – but if you really look around, you can still find fab gifts under R200. Gifts that aren’t going to break the bank. And gifts that your friends and family will love!
People often say I’m difficult to buy for, and that’s just because I don’t like junk. I spent my life collecting junk, getting rid of it and now I hate accumulating things I don’t need.
As cute as a glittery pencil bag is, or another makeup bag to add to my collection, to me they just = unnecessary hoarding.
So, when I’m looking at gifting for friends and family, I really try to think of the person I’m buying for so that I can get them something that fits into their lifestyle.
View PostShop the cosiest winter knits
Before H&M rolled into the country, my favourite places to shop for the cosiest winter knits were at Zara and Country Road. But this season, I’m adding H&M (my fave place to shop) into my favourites selection, because their knitwear is just so friggin gorgeous!
I like to buy quality knitwear and usually look at the label to find ones that have at least some natural fibres in the mix, and I think H&M has hit the spot this season with some of their knits. And without letting go of my trusted favourites (ZARA and Country Road), today I’m showing you gals my fave pics from all three.
View PostWhere to Buy the Best Leggings
Legging season is upon us! Hands up if you live in your leggings! Don’t be afraid to raise your hand – I know, leggings have got such a bad rap at times, because well, people wear them and they look frumpy. But I think leggings are the best! I do really live in mine, and I think if you wear leggings as part of a look – in other words, you’ve put an actual look together – they can look fantastic!
The other reason leggings probably have a bad rap is because, there are leggings and there are leggings!

View PostThe May Wish List
My wishlist this month is probably my smallest one yet! I don’t know if it’s because I’m still undecided on the season ahead (and what I want to wear), or if I just haven’t been out enough to “see what’s out there”. It could also be that I’ve become a super smart shopper; trying to spend my hard earned cash on things that I really, really, really want and could make use of. Due South Military Gilet I’ve been on the hunt for one of these military-style army green gilets for the longest time, and finally, I have found THE ONE! Spotted at Due South…
