Be honest now, how much love do you give your feet?
Summer, Winter, Autumn or Spring, one thing remains – your feet will always need a little extra loving care. They do after all, take us places and deserve to be loved.
Since I’ve started giving my hard working feet the time of day, I’ve noticed a major improvement in their condition. No more cracked and flaky heels and no more dead, dry skin.
So today, I wanted to share three little things that will make your feet smile and my really easy routine for happy feet that you can do too!
You will need
- Plush, thick socks – in any colour of course
- Indulgent Body Cream (or foot cream if you prefer)
- Scholl’s Velvet Smooth Electronic Foot File
Feet up Routine
Every night, after I take a nice relaxing bath, I dry my feet and literally slather them in an indulgent body cream. At the moment I’m loving L’OCCITANE‘s new limited edition, Shea Whipped Body Cream, but you can use what ever you wish.
I’ve run out of foot cream, but if you’d like to check out some of my faves, here’s a post I did on them.
Then, I cover my feet with a pair of plush, thick socks, so that they can absorb the goodness of the cream. I picked these up at Spar (yeah the grocery store – how fab), but they work really well and are super soft and cuddly.
Then, I just climb into bed and in the morning, soft, supple and very happy feet!
Once I week I also use the new Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Foot File, which is in one (double barreled) word ahhha-mazing!
Think of it as a foot file that you’ll actually use!
I have so many traditional foot files (the old school type) and I don’t know why I bother with them. I never actually sit there and file my heels, manually. I mean, who has time for that? And I can think of a million ways to flex my biceps without taking out my frustration on my poor feet.
