In July 2009, international hair beauty brand, ghd, will be launching the search for an online video star. The chosen one will become the official ghd style diarist for the year and, through a series of video blogs, bestow upon stylistas across the country and across the globe the knowledge and tools to create the hottest looks for every season.
Using her ghd IV styler and prescribed products from the ghd Thermodynamics range, the ghd style diarist will film the creation of four on-trend hairstyles. These short videos will be uploaded over four consecutive months, one per month, for urban angels to watch, learn and achieve hair styling perfection with ease.

To enter and stand a chance of becoming the ghd style diarist, urban angels need to log on to www.ghdstylediary.co.za/videodiary, before 31 July 2009, and submit a 30 second video clip, taken with their phone or digital camera, motivating why they deserve this coveted title. For those who are unable to submit a video entry, a photograph and 100 word motivation should be sent through for a chance to be invited to an audition session.
All entries will be reviewed and those short listed will be invited to an audition in Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban, where they will be required to showcase their talents and on-camera personality as they create an on-trend hairstyle using ghd. The top three finalists will be announced and each receive a ghd IV styler and prescribed products from the ghd Thermodynamics range.
Through a competitive judging process, top ghd experts will select the ghd style diarist who will be adorned with a limited edition ghd IV styler set and a goodie bag of products enabling her to go forth with ferocious femininity, spreading the gospel according to ghd, unveiling the secrets to achieving hair styling perfection.
